Help Is a Two-Way Street: Who Got Helped, and With What?

Updated

Bottom line: Four members, and the thing each one was handed: a mentor and the systems for Gaby Aranda-Schwob, marketing and the back office for Brad Evans, leads and appointments for Brittney Coyle, a first year for Holly Hernandez.

What was Gaby Aranda-Schwob handed?

A mentor, the systems and the leads. Gaby Aranda-Schwob moved to Houston from Minneapolis in late 2025 for her husband's job and researched which Houston team to join rather than taking the first one that offered. She had never closed more than $10 million in a year.

In the first six months of 2026 she closed more than $13 million (team records, September 2026). In her words: "I moved to Houston from Minneapolis in late 2025 and had never closed $10 million in a year. In the first half of 2026, I closed more than $13 million."

What was Brad Evans handed?

Marketing, staging and the back office: three jobs off his desk rather than a promise of help. Brad Evans was selling under $2 million a year when he joined and sells $8 to $10 million a year now (team records, September 2026).

In his words: "I was selling under $2 million a year when I joined. The team handles marketing, staging and the back office, so my time goes to clients, and now I sell $8 to $10 million a year."

What was Brittney Coyle handed?

Leads, appointments and systems she did not have to build. Brittney Coyle came in doing predominantly leases and had never sold $2 million in a year; she sells about $15 million a year now (team records, September 2026).

The appointments are the part of that list that needs a person. An inside sales team books them onto member calendars off the 525+ leads a month the team's own Houston neighborhood sites bring in (team records, August 2026).

What was Holly Hernandez handed?

A first year in a business she had never worked in. Holly Hernandez came out of oil and gas, started here as a new agent about ten years ago, and has over $40 million in closed business so far this year (her own words, 11 September 2026).

In her words: "Prior to being in real estate, I was in the oil & gas industry. I started as a new agent with the Houston Properties Team and this year, I have over $40M in closed business so far." Her start is history rather than a door that is open today: the team now looks for a year of closings behind you.

Where does the asking actually happen?

In the second half of the 8:30 huddle, every weekday. Somebody says what they are stuck on and somebody else takes it, in front of the room, which is what makes it repeatable instead of a favor.

Then it runs the other way. Brad Evans, Brittney Coyle and Holly Hernandez each lead one of the five weekly squads now, alongside Kim Vargas and Yolanda Ames. The agents who were handed leads, a back office and a first year are the ones running the meeting where somebody else gets handed theirs.

Questions & answers

What do Houston agents ask about this?

What did Houston Properties Team members get help with?

Named, and specifically: Gaby Aranda-Schwob a mentor, the systems and the leads; Brad Evans marketing, staging and the back office; Brittney Coyle the leads, the appointments and the systems; Holly Hernandez a first year in a business she had never worked in before.

Each of those is a job somebody else took rather than a word like support. Gaby closed more than $13 million in the first half of 2026 after never having closed $10 million in a year (team records, September 2026). Brad went from under $2 million a year to $8 to $10 million (team records, September 2026). Brittney went from mostly leases to about $15 million a year (team records, September 2026). The asking happens in the Need Help half of the 8:30 huddle, every weekday, and the rest of that week is on the page about what this team feels like day to day.

Do members of a Houston real estate team help each other?

On Houston Properties Team the mechanism for it is a standing meeting rather than goodwill. The second half of the 8:30 weekday huddle is Need Help: somebody says what they are stuck on, in front of the room, and somebody else takes it before the meeting ends.

It runs in both directions over time, and the roster shows it. Brad Evans, Brittney Coyle and Holly Hernandez were each handed something when they arrived, and all three now run one of the five weekly squads, alongside Kim Vargas and Yolanda Ames. Asking in front of people is easier when the person running the meeting once asked the same thing. Outside the huddle there are two named people to send a problem to: Sibel Caliskanlar Cope and Alexis Ruiz-Ney, the Concierge Directors, whose job is routing it rather than selling.

Who helps a new member in their first month on a team?

A designated mentor and a weekly squad, plus the success team on six functions and an inside sales team booking appointments. Gaby Aranda-Schwob moved from Minneapolis in late 2025 and named the mentor, the systems and the leads as what she came for. She closed more than $13 million in the first half of 2026.

The first thirty days are systems setup, daily script practice, ten hours a week of time-blocked calls, an open house or two shadowed and two to four appointments sat in on, and your own sphere worked. Days 31 to 60 add two held appointments of your own, and inside sales appointments open up after day 30. Days 61 to 90 are 25 conversations a week and four to five appointments a month. The huddle is every weekday at 8:30 through all of it, and the squad is once a week.
