For agents who have not had a real conversation with a broker in years

Can I Actually Reach the People Who Make Decisions on a Houston Real Estate Team?

Updated

Bottom line: Two named people answer first: Sibel Caliskanlar Cope and Alexis Ruiz-Ney, both Concierge Directors. Picking up is the job, and they hand it to whoever settles it. Broker owners and team leaders talk to Bob Martin.

Who picks up when you have a problem?

Sibel Caliskanlar Cope or Alexis Ruiz-Ney. Both are Concierge Directors, and answering agents is the job rather than something fitted around their own listings. You do not file anything and you do not have to work out whose question it is first. You say what happened, and it goes to the person who settles it.

Ask every team you are talking to for the name of the person who answers first. If the answer is a department, that is the answer.

Who are the people they hand it to?

The group an agent deals with week to week is Holly Hernandez, Kim Vargas, Sibel Caliskanlar Cope, Alexis Ruiz-Ney and Yolanda Ames. Three of them lead weekly squads and still sell houses, and the two Concierge Directors spend their week on agents' questions, so an answer comes back from somebody who was in this market this month.

Bob Martin and Paige Martin own the team. If you run a brokerage or lead a team of your own, the first conversation is with Bob, because what you are weighing has agents and a name attached to it and that is a different conversation.

Step by step

How does a question actually get answered?

  1. 01

    You say it

In the 8:30 huddle, on the phone, or in a message to a Concierge Director. There is no form and no queue to join.

  2. 02

    It gets routed

Sibel or Alexis decides whose question it is: a contract problem, a client problem, a listing problem, or one that belongs with an owner.

  3. 03

    A person answers, by name

The answer comes back from whoever owns it, so you know who to go back to if it is not settled yet.

  4. 04

Owners and team leaders skip the routing

A broker owner or a team leader books fifteen minutes with Bob Martin directly. Those calls are his.

Who will you be dealing with?

Questions & answers

What else do Houston agents ask?

Who do I call first when I need something on Houston Properties Team?

Sibel Caliskanlar Cope or Alexis Ruiz-Ney. Both are Concierge Directors, and answering agents is their job rather than something they fit around their own listings. You tell one of them what happened and they send it to whoever settles it.

The reason to name two people rather than a department is that a department has no phone number you can picture. A Concierge Director is the person who hears it first, decides whose problem it is, and stays with it until somebody has answered. Contract questions go one way, client questions another, and anything that belongs with an owner goes to Bob Martin. Ask every team you are interviewing with who picks up first and what their job actually is. The answer is usually the whole answer.

What is a Concierge Director on Houston Properties Team?

A Concierge Director is the person an agent calls first. Sibel Caliskanlar Cope and Alexis Ruiz-Ney hold the role. They pick up, work out which part of the team owns the question, and hand it to the person who can settle it, then check that it was settled.

It exists because the alternative is worse. On most teams an agent with a problem has to know the org chart before they can ask for help, which means the newest people ask last and the busiest people ask never. Putting two named people in front of that turns a routing question into a phone call. They are also part of the leadership group, so the routing is not a hand-off into the dark; they are in the same meetings as the people they route to.

Who is in the leadership group at Houston Properties Team?

Holly Hernandez, Kim Vargas, Sibel Caliskanlar Cope, Alexis Ruiz-Ney and Yolanda Ames are the people an agent deals with week to week. Bob Martin and Paige Martin own the team. Four of the five lead squads, and all of them still work files.

That last part is the test worth applying anywhere you are interviewing. A leader who closed something this quarter is answering from the market you are about to work in. A leader who stopped selling in 2019 is answering from memory. On this team the mentors who run the weekly squads are Brad Evans, Brittney Coyle, Holly Hernandez, Kim Vargas and Yolanda Ames, every one of them still selling. Their profiles are linked from the coaching page so you can read their production before you meet them.

Can I talk to the owner of Houston Properties Team?

Yes, and if you own a brokerage or lead a team of your own, Bob Martin is the first conversation rather than the last. Bob and Paige Martin own the team. For an individual agent the first call is usually with a Concierge Director, who brings an owner in when the question needs one.

The split is about what is being decided. An agent is deciding where to work. A broker owner or a team leader is deciding what happens to people who work for them, to a name on a sign, and to files that are already open. That second conversation is not one to have with somebody who has to go and ask. Booking with Bob takes fifteen minutes and is on the closing block of every page written for owners and leaders.
