For Houston agents whose production has leveled off
Stuck at the Same Production Year After Year? Find Out If a Team Is the Fix Before You Change Anything.
Updated
Bottom line: A flat year usually comes down to three things: too few appointments, no one checking your week, or no time left to grow. A team fixes all three. It does not fix calls that never get made.
Why do agents stop growing?
Most plateaus are math. There are only so many appointments one person can find, run and follow up on in a week. Past that point, more effort does not add closings; it adds hours. The way through is more appointments you did not have to find, someone who checks your call goals and time blocking every week, and a success team that takes the paperwork off your desk.
Who will this not work for?
Be honest with yourself before you book. This will not work if you will not make calls, if you do not want your call goals and time blocking checked every week, or if you want leads without coaching. Houston Properties Team runs a weekly squad where somebody asks about last week's number. If that sounds like a problem, this is not your team.
Before you book, three questions: Did you close at least one transaction in the last twelve months? Will you let a squad leader check your call goals and time blocking every week? Will you bring your real numbers to the first call? Three yeses: book it.

Questions & answers
What do Houston agents ask about stuck?
Why is my real estate business not growing?
Usually one of three limits: not enough appointments, no one holding you to your plan, or no hours left because you do everything yourself. Look at last year's appointments, closings and hours side by side, and the limit usually shows itself.
Write the three figures down before you decide anything: appointments run, transactions closed, and hours worked, over the last twelve months. If appointments are low and conversion is fine, the limit is lead flow. If appointments are fine and conversion is low, the limit is what happens inside the appointment, which is a coaching problem. If both are fine and you are exhausted, the limit is time, and the answer is taking work off your desk rather than adding more of it. Most plateaus are one of those three, and picking the wrong one costs a year.
Will joining a team increase my income?
It can, but an average is not a promise. Members on Houston Properties Team average $14M in volume against a $820K Houston average (team records and HAR, September 2026). What changes the number is appointments, weekly accountability and time, and you still have to do the work.
An average describes what a group did, not a forecast for anyone joining it. What the figure does describe is the conditions: appointments booked from the team's 525+ monthly leads, a weekly squad that checks call goals and time blocking, and a success team on six functions carrying the paperwork. Those conditions change what a working week can hold. They do not make the calls, run the appointment or write the offer. Bring your own last twelve months to the first call, and the conversation is about your numbers under those conditions rather than about somebody else's average.
What does accountability look like on Houston Properties Team?
A weekly squad meeting led by one of five designated mentors who still sell. You say your call goal, and the next week somebody asks about it. Time blocking gets checked against where the week actually went. Live script practice is part of the meeting.
The squad meets once a week and it is the same people each time, which is what makes the question land. You state a call goal. The next week somebody asks what the number was. Time blocking is checked against where the week actually went rather than against the plan you wrote on Monday. Script practice happens live in the room, so the first time you say a hard sentence is not in a seller's living room. All five designated mentors still sell houses, so the coaching is about this market in this month.
What if I join and my numbers do not move?
Your squad leader sees it within weeks, not at year end, because the numbers get reviewed every week. If appointments are not turning into contracts, that becomes the coaching. If the calls are not getting made, that conversation happens early too.
The review cadence is the answer. A weekly squad sees a flat month while there is still time to change it, and the coaching moves to whichever part of the sequence is failing. If appointments are arriving and contracts are not, the work goes into the appointment itself: the pricing conversation, the objections, the follow-up. If the calls are not happening, that is a different conversation and it happens early rather than at a year-end review. Houston Properties Team is built for agents who already close business, so the question is normally which limit is binding rather than whether the business works.
